I've always loved to design and create jewelry ... ever since I was in middle school! I used to make earrings for myself. My mother would take me to the bead store and let me
shop. It was so great wearing jewelry that I made myself!I didn't get back into it until I moved to Nagoya, Japan for my job and for some reason, I started it up again. I made
jewelry for myself and for gifts and enjoyed every minute! I slowed down when my son, Kai, was born since there was no more time! Being a mommy's so fulfilling! We moved
back to the States and I was pregnant with our second child. My three co-workers (Anne, Maggie & Lillian) and I went bead shopping one weekend and my creativity for
jewelry came back! We enjoy showing each other our creations and giving each other advice.During my maternity leave with my second child, Megumi, I met my friend who
started her own business in advertisement. She's so nice in offering to put my jewelry on one of her magazine pages! She was my catalyst in starting my business ... thank
you, Dominique!! Check her Pick on Food Meets FashionI also want to thank my sister-in-law, Stephanie, who steered me in the right direction in starting my own business.
You know what's cool? She’s also a jewelry designer and started her own business! Thank you, Stephanie, for all of your help! Check out her website: Red Cat Beads.
My best creations are definitely my beautiful kids! Check out MY BEST CREATIONS to see how adorable they are!! Most of all, I want to thank my husband,
Peter, my biggest cheerleader! Without him, I wouldn't have had the confidence and the support to start this new adventure! He has been my great positive support!! I enjoy
creating my jewelry ... hope you will all love and enjoy my jewelry, too!Thank you!Julie "Joolz" Hisako Watanabe-Sloan Creator
